“Brigadistas” (civilian wildland firefighters) from the Guajajara Indigenous people engaged in native plant nursery work. The images show seedling production and handling of young native plants, as well as brigadistas presenting their nursery work. The nursery production supports ecological restoration of areas degraded by wildfires, providing native species for reforestation and landscape recovery as part of IFM strategies that combine prevention suppression, and post-fire rehabilitation.
