The section “Manejo del Fuego” of “FANP: 25 años, 25 historias” gathers stories on fire management in Protected Natural Areas in Mexico. It includes the case of the Maderas del Carmen Flora and Fauna Protection Area, which traces the evolution and innovation of prescribed fire as a management tool. There, fire has been progressively integrated to support ecosystem health, biodiversity conservation, and risk reduction. It also includes experiences from other protected landscapes.
